The engineer Carlo Mistretta is the new Manager of SDAG Gorizia

Dr Carlo Mistretta took a degree in civil engineering (in the field of transport) at the University of Trieste.

Born in Udine in 1949, he knows extremely well the municipal and regional institutions, both Italian and Slovenian; for approximately 18 years he was the general manager of the multiutility of Gorizia, later transformed into AMG SpA and then, after merging the provincial multiutilities, into Iris SpA which employed 300 people before hiving off the water division.

From 1991 up to the end of 2001, he was advisor of the Minister of Transport, drawing up reports and specific studies for public transport and transport infrastructures.

He also was:

  • Member of the board of directors of various companies, even outside the province of Gorizia. Now he is still member of the board of directors of the transport company APT SpA in Gorizia;
  • General manager of Iris; after his retirement in January 2008, he has been involved important initiatives in the field of energy, and even in the field of renewable energy.
